Bitcoin considered UNUSABLE

All I want to do is buy drugs but I just paid $50 markup to buy $400 worth from an ATM, and now I just paid an additional $30 in fees and it's still predicted to take 2 days to confirm. Literally unusable as a currency.

Everyone in Bitcoin Core need to kill themselves or raise the block size limit. I hope everyone who has a stupid insistence on rejecting Bitcoin Cash goes bankrupt and their dicks fall off. While I wait for them to do that, I'll also be waiting for a market that accepts Monero to have some decent vendors, as well as pulling my fucking hair out and chugging cough syrup because I can't deal with emotions. Bitcoin is literally driving me insane and putting my job at risk.

I'm really glad I didn't follow through with my plan to get addicted to xanax back when btc and alphabay were stable, it would have been a nightmare by now.

Dream accepts bitcoin cash now.

Which programming language is this?
5 Name: Anonymous 2017-12-21 11:07
Bitcoin uses a scripting system for transactions. Forth-like, Script is simple, stack-based, and processed from left to right. It is purposefully not Turing-complete, with no loops.

Then this belongs to /lounge/. It is not a programming thread.

should we take coq discussion there too?

Dropped from the mempool fellas! Bitcoin has totally failed. Everyone who still believes in it should go commit suicide. I'm just going to go find some nigger to sell me some xanax.

I'm reprogramming my mind so that I can also program programs for fun and work.

I don't get it. I go on localbitcoin, buy some bitcoin, transfer to my electrum wallet, then to market wallet. It takes about two hours at most to complete all of this and I'm usually paying like $30-50 in fees. How come it takes you days to accomplish what I can in less than two hours?

It seems OP is not the only one who somehow thinks chugging cough syrup is the correct response to btc being shitty:

my entire christmas bonus has in the mempool for five days

so I'm swalloing robotussin gelcaps by the bottle

It's like see a doctor assholes, cough syrup doesn't work better the more you drink.

Robotripping is often a great reaction to not having access to better drugs.

Self-medication is cruise control for cool. Enjoy your intentional retardation.

Self-medication is a good thing, it reduces self-lobotomies.

I'd rather die than be sober for three minutes.

Things you can use Bitcoin for:
•Buying drugs
•Buying malware
•Money laundering
•Losing money and pretending that it's an ``investment''
•Pretending that it's a stock rather than a fiat currency only backed by arbitrary CPU cycles
•Slow transactions with very high fees
•Telling people why roads are bad and libertarianism is good even though Bitcoin is increasingly centralized, defeating its original purpose

Things you can't use Bitcoin for:
•Buying groceries
•Paying bills
•Buying a car
•Buying a house
•Buying lunch
•Buying with credit instead of only what you have right now
•Chargebacks in case of fraud/hacking
•Increasing your credit score
•Truly anonymous transactions (blockchains are inherently public)
•Fast payments
•Low-fee payments
•Safe, non-volatile storage of wealth

It's not a real currency.

Bitcoins are a real currency: its value is always related to the confidence of the person providing the goods or service. Your non-acceptance of the Vietnamese Dong doesn't stop it from being currency.

By that logic, World of Warcraft gold is a real currency. But it's not a widely-accepted currency like USD.
Yes, the exception is clearly the rule, amirite?

World of Warcraft gold is a real currency when there are people confident in its purchasing power.

Would you accept a job if they only paid you in Minecraft diamonds and WoW gold?
23 Name: Anonymous 2018-01-08 23:27
minecraft diamonds, no
wow gold, yes
24 Name: Anonymous 2018-01-17 21:57
I'm done with accepting payment in anything but USD. I've been working a job for the last six months being paid in BCC (BitConnect) tokens. You do the math.

Would you accept yen?
